Friends let
us begin our video with a story.
A person came to the ashram of Swami Vivekananda who looked very sad and upset. The person fell at the feet of Swamiji and said, Maharaj, I am very sad with my life, I work very hard in my daily life, I did various work very diligently but never succeeded. Why has God given me such luck and I have never been successful despite being hardworking. Swamiji understood the problem of that person within a second. In those days Swamiji had a small pet dog.
Swamiji said to that person - you take my dog for
some distance, then I will answer your question. The man looked at Swami Ji
with great surprise and then got away with the dog. After a long stroll, when
the person returned to Ashram. Swamiji saw that the person's face was still
glowing while the dog was panting and was feeling very tired. Swami Ji asked
the person - how tired this dog is? when you are still looking clean, then the
person said, I was walking on my way straight away, but the dog was
running after other dogs and he would come back to me after fighting.
Again, the person said - Both of us have taken
a similar path but still, this dog has run more than me, that's why he is
tired. Swamiji smiled and said - That is the answer to all your questions, your
floor is around you, it is not far away, but instead of going to the floor, you
are running after other people and moving away from your floor. That means we
should identify our strength and improve it. Friends, the same thing applies to our daily
lives as well, friends we all focus on many things but we should learn to focus
on our one skill and strengthen it.
There are
many skills in us. But friends there is a question arising that how to become
champion? I would like to tell you that friends we have many skills in ourself
but we should only focus only the skill that is your strength and multiply it.
Many people will tell you that this is your weakness and fix it that is your
weakness and fix it. Friends “fixing the weakness will fix your problem.
Working and multiplying your strength will make you a champion.” Friends if you
give your full life to fix the weaknesses then the problem will be solved but
if you want to become a champion then you need to multiply your strengths.
Friends if you want to develop, strengthen and
multiply your skill then follow these methods -
1. Do the
best practice – if you want to develop your skill then you need to do the best
practice means that suppose you want to develop your communication skill then
you need to find the best person in your field and then find all the things
that the person has done to become successful and do all that things. This is a
short way to reach success. Friends success leaves it footprints.
Friends by doing the best practices you can avoid making mistakes in the
beginning and that’s exactly why most people never get good at something. They
quit too early. Don’t be like most people. Instead, learn from the greats. And
have respect for the skill you’re learning as
“Knowledge
is a treasure, but the practice is the key to it.”
2. Don’t
quit –
“The moment
you want to quit is usually the moment right before something amazing happens.
Don’t give up.”
Friends many of us face many difficulties
while doing any of the tasks but let how many difficulties come at your way you
should never quit. Friends “if the thought of quitting comes in your mind then
think that why have you started?” You can’t master a skill if you quit early.
However, understanding WHY we quit? can help us to prevent quitting early. So,
friends let us understand one thing that when we are learning a skill, our
progress does not grow linearly over time.
3. Work
harder – by working hard I mean to say that you should work with your full
focus, full attention at your work. If you are doing something then give your
best in that.
“Work so
hard that one day your signature will be called an autograph.”
Friends now let’s take a look at an example
that –
Sachin
Tendulkar – he wanted to be in the Indian team and his best skill was batting
but to come in the Indian team he also needs to develop his skills of bowling
and fielding. So, he learnt these skills but his main focus was on batting. He
focused on developing and multiplying his skill in which he was the best and so
today he is a champion and a legend.
Friends now here comes the biggest question
that how can we find out our greatest skill?
So, the best answer is that you can ask your
friends, you can ask your colleagues, you can ask your parents, you can ask
your siblings and you can find it out. But the biggest problem comes when the
people also don’t know about your strengths then find out the work that you
love to do the most. Find out the things that you can do even after a lot of
obstacles comes to your way and find out the things that you can do differently
from others.
“When we build on our
strengths and daily successes — instead of focusing on failures — we
simply learn more.” “Success is achieved by developing our strengths,
not by eliminating our weaknesses.”
Friends everyone has unique skills and
talents in them.
What are
yours and how often do you use them? Tell me in the comment section.
